Impact Analysis
Initial Comments
o SRP appreciates the CAISO’s efforts to ensure Market Instrument Business Practice Manual includes langague to accommodate changes associated with the Energy Storage Enhancements. The Daily Energy Limit is not available to storage utilized for regulation energy management (REM). SRP requests the CAISO allow entities to enter a daily energy limit for resources used for REM.

Thank you for your comment. The ISO has not contemplated any changes to the regulation energy management model at this time, but this is something that could be discussed and included in the scope of future stakeholder efforts, including storage modeling enhancements, which the ISO plans to begin in 2024.
