If so, please describe the implementation timeline and whether there will be any available user acceptance testing.
ISO Response:
There will be no changes to the Access Identity Management (AIM) tool. Changes are in process only.
Each User Access Administrator must agree to the ISO User Access Administrator (UAA) Establishment and Requirements, as part of their responsibilities as a UAA. This was established with the creation of the UAA role and has not changed.
Implementation for the process change is scheduled for November 1, 2026.
_____________
-Will User Access Administrators receive the ability to independently grant access within AIM, or will endorsed-user requests continue to require CAISO processing and approval?
ISO Response:
UAA role and AIM User Guide will remain the same. UAAs will be able to grant access to MRI-S within AIM without the need for validation by the ISO. Endorsed User access functionality will remain the same.
____________
-Please clarify who is responsible for submitting, reviewing, and approving additions, removals, or other changes to the authorized user list, and whether these responsibilities reside with the resource owner or scheduling coordinator.
ISO Response:
The UAA will continue to be responsible for setting up users, submitting, reviewing, and approving access requests and access removals.
Third party users will no longer need to be indicated within the Meter Service Agreement for Scheduling Coordinators (MSASC) or resource owner’s Meter Service Agreement for CAISO Metered Entities (MSACAISOME).
__________

-Please clarify whether periodic recertification of the authorized user list will be required and, if so, identify the recertification frequency and the parties responsible for reviewing and approving continued access.
ISO Response:
As indicated in the response above, authorized users will no longer be indicated in the Metering Agreements. UAAs will be responsible for establishing access for users, including any applicable third party users.

-Will AIM provide role-based access controls that distinguish between UAAs who may view the authorized user list and users who may modify the list?
ISO Response:
UAA responsibilities will remain the same.
